Studio Rental Terms & Conditions
1. General Terms
By booking a rental at G1 Studio ("Studio"), you ("Renter") agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply may result in additional charges or termination of rental without refund.
2. Booking & Payment
All bookings require full payment at the time of reservation.
Payment is processed via Stripe through Acuity Scheduling.
Bookings are non-refundable but may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice.
3. Security Deposit & Damage Policy
A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your credit card at the time of booking. This is an authorization only and will not be charged unless damages occur.
The hold will be released within 7 days after your rental, provided no damages are found.
If damages exceed $500, Renter authorizes the Studio to charge the full cost of repair or replacement to the card on file.
Studio staff will assess damages, and an itemized invoice will be sent before any charges are processed.
4. Studio Use & Rules
Security cameras are installed throughout the Studio, except for the changeroom and washroom, for security and liability purposes.
Renter is responsible for all guests, crew members, and equipment brought into the space.
No smoking, vaping, or open flames are allowed inside the Studio.
The Studio must be left in the same condition as received. Any excessive mess requiring extra cleaning will result in a $100 cleaning fee.
Glitter/Confetti is not permitted unless otherwise approved
Pets are not permitted unless otherwise approved
Noise levels must be kept reasonable to avoid disturbance to neighboring units.
5. Equipment & Property
The Studio provides equipment and amenities as listed in the rental description.
Any damage, loss, or theft of equipment will be the Renter’s financial responsibility.
Renter may not modify or remove any fixtures, furniture, or installed equipment without prior permission.
6. Liability & Indemnification
The Studio does not guarantee its suitability for the Renter’s specific needs and is not responsible for disruptions beyond its control, including power outages, construction, weather, emergencies, force majeure, or lockdowns.
The Renter assumes full responsibility for themselves and all attendees while on the premises and agrees that the Studio holds no liability for injuries, property damage, or loss.
The Renter is liable for any damages, legal actions, or reputational harm caused by themselves or their guests and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Studio, its owners, and employees against any claims.
Violation of studio policies results in forfeiture of any refunds for past or future bookings and may lead to additional financial or legal consequences.
The Studio is not liable for injuries or accidents involving the Renter, their employees, contractors, clients, or guests inside or outside the premises.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations are non-refundable.
Rescheduling is allowed with at least 48 hours' notice. For bookings canceled between 24-48 hours before the scheduled time, you will receive a 50% credit towards your next booking, which must be used within 4 weeks from the original booking date.
Bookings canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will not receive a credit and will be charged in full for the booking.
8. Overtime & Late Fees
Rental time starts and ends as booked. Additional time will be charged at 1.5x the hourly rate if not approved in advance.
A 15-minute grace period is provided, after which overtime charges apply.
9. Photo & Video Rights
The Studio may document and share behind-the-scenes footage of rentals unless Renter provides a written request for privacy.
10. Parking
The Studio provides two designated parking spaces for renters. You must select the number of spots required during booking.
Failure to park in designated spots may result in your vehicle being towed at your expense.
Nearby street parking is available for additional vehicles.
For larger productions requiring multiple spots or multi-day parking, please contact us in advance to arrange parking with the building.
11. Agreement Acceptance
By completing a booking, Renter acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
